| NuTune Certified as Green Partner by Sony Corporation |
| Singapore, 12th October 2009 – NuTune, a global leader in RF Tuner Modules for TV and Set-Top-Box applications announced today that it has been certified as a Green PartnerTM by Sony Corporation. NuTune was awarded this certification based on its Environmental Management System that ensures that its product content and manufacturing processes meet or exceed Sony’s Technical Standard SS259. The Sony Green Partner certification program is an initiative to ensure that its customers products have been designed and produced with minimal environmental impact based on Sony’s own environmental policies. The standards Sony set for this certification is more stringent that the requirements of RoHS. “NuTune has always been at the forefront in ensuring that our products have the least possible impact on the environment, whether it be in its design, manufacturing, usage or its eventual end-of-life.” said Michael Phang, NuTune’s manager of Total Quality Management. “We are pleased to receive this certification from Sony as a confirmation that our products and processes meet the stringent requirements of the SS259 Standard.” As Sony’s Green Partner, NuTune can now market its products freely to Sony and its entire supply chain. |
